Fushimi Inari Jinja is a shrine dedicated to the fox god, Inari. At the end of orientation week, the school set up groups of Japanese students to take groups of us silly little foreigners to places in Kyoto, and we ended up here!

Gates. Gate after gate after gate. This is only the start of them. There are literally hundreds of these things.

And then we all walked back down because we were tired. An old guy told us that if you get a stone through the hole, you'll have good luck.

And our Kyoto adventure ended here, at the Ninja Cafe. It wasn't too fabulous, but the desserts were good.
